![]() It's crazy loud and makes noises constantly. One last thing to mention is I hate that you can't turn down the volume of the controller speaker in game. However it also lost some of its charm with level design, the levels are less memorable and aren't as creative in terms of design. SE3 is designed to be a superior game with non-linear levels, improved controls, and more focus on the Xray bullet cam (which can start to get annoying after every kill, but you can press a button to skip them which wasn't possible on SEv2). In SE3 yu can sprint with 元 and aim the cope with L2. The default scheme in SE2 was unpleasant and there was only one other control layout choice available, which allowd you to aim the scope with L2, but meant you lost sprint on 元. Another thing to mention is the control scheme is better in SE3. The silence handgun is still there from SEV2, but I prefer the takedowns for when yoou manage to get right up to an enemy without them seeing. ![]() SE3 also adds takedowns, so you can takedown an enemy by sneaking up behind them, which is a very welcome addition. Although this also makes the game far easier as you can essentially save after every kill meaning there's no risk for any action you take. SE3 allows you t save whenever you want, in addition to the checkpoints, which seem more frequent anyway. SE3 also fixes the issue I had with SEV2 with manual saves, allow you to no longer suffer trying to redo a 3 wave gunfight where you'd get to the very last sniper and die because you couldn't flank tham or position yourself properly, and then needing to restart the entire gunfight. There's not really anything like that in SE3 it's just a mechanic in the levels you can choose to find and use for some kills but not all. However I feel the sound masking was developed more with SE2 as it had levels with events such as fireworks or the bell of the church which really continued through and was a key feature of those levels. ![]() This dramatically improves the stealth element of the gme as you are no lngr forced into situations where you can't sneak around or flank enemies, plus it means you can psition yourself nearer atmospheric noises to mask your sots. The main differences between Sniper Elite v2 and 3 is that th levels are now more open and less linear. There's the ability too play somewhat stealthily in these games, but there's also gunfights and assassination missions. The game format is essentially, 3rd person to move around levels and position yourself for shots, then a first person scope view for gunfights. I sorely missed these types of games, so this fills a void. The games bring me back to days of Spec Ops on the original playstation, running around alone with limited ammo and mostly relying on a sniper rifle, being stealthy and knowing when go on the offensive. That being said, the Sniper Elite series is very fun if you like stealth sniper style games. It's actually a prequel rather than sequel, but the story is weaker than SEV2 and this time around the levels are fairly void of anything memorable unlike some very standout levels in SEV2. Sniper Elite 3 is definitely a "more of the same" game. It seemed like a Call Of Duty ripoff but was actually a pretty fun and challenging sniper game with decent mechanics and good level design. It seemed like a Call Of Duty ripoff but was actually a pretty fun and challenging sniper game with decent Sniper Elite V2, was a dark horse. I'd rate this with an 8 out of 10 … Expand If you like stealth-based action titles like Metal Gear Solid V or Splinter Cell: Blacklist, then you'll like this. The game has a decent story, but the gameplay is the reason you want to play this. in addition to the campaign, there are three other co-op modes as well as competitive multiplayer. As you progress in the story, you'll find weapon parts which you can use to customize each sniper rifle with. Single player mode is fun, but you can also play cooperatively online with a partner. Each mission can be completed in many ways and there are plenty of collectibles and secondary objectives. Level and game design are an improvement over Sniper Elite V2. If you've played the Xbox 360 version, the difference is very noticeable. It includes all DLC and run at 60 FPS with 1080p resolution. If you've played the Xbox 360 This is the definitive version of Sniper Elite III. ![]() This is the definitive version of Sniper Elite III. ![]()
